Our Footprints Among Marginalized Students & families

Key objectives:

  • To inculcate in the community a sense of positive regard for education.
  • To focus on emotional and social validation of the children and their families.
  • To prepare and motivate them to meet new challenges by equipping them with age-appropriate literacy and numeracy skills.

“Project Shine”, a Socio-Emotional Learning (SEL) initiative for cognitive and non-cognitive skills development of tribal children in 5th grade in Attappady tribal region, Palakkad Dist., Kerala, India.(2015-2020).

An initiative by the Noolpuzha Grama Panchayath in Wayanad District of Kerala similar to project Shine in Attappady, fully funded by the Panchayath. CARSEL Foundation provides technical support to the project in the design and implementation and monitoring of the project.

An innovative project being implemented by the Noolpuzha Grama Panchayath in all the 9 lower primary schools under the Grama Panchayath to tackle the issues of learner inconsistency and the mediocre academic proficiency of all the lower primary learners. The Panchayath envisages to achieve through this project

“An initiative by the Unnikulam Grama Panchayath to uplift the Scheduled Caste (with specific focus on the Kalladia community) within the Panchayath. CARSEL Foundation provides unique focus on Education for bringing about a change in the mindset of the community.

An initiative by KILA in Attappady Kerala, fully funded by the KILA to continue the unhindered cognitive and non-cognitive skills development of tribal children who where trained by Project Shine during their 5th grade. CARSEL Foundation provided technical support and training to the facilitators to design, implementation and monitoring of the project.
